The Board of the South Bay Business Women's Association (SBBWA) is pleased to announce its fifth annual South Bay Business Women's Conference. The 2018 conference will take place on Friday, May 11 at the Marriott Torrance Redondo Beach in Torrance, CA.
Past events have been successful in bringing together a dynamic group of local women and men to participate in an inspirational event centered on awarding scholarships to deserving South Bay women to pursue educational opportunities. This year’s conference will include keynote speakers, informative breakout sessions, a delicious plated lunch, plus many opportunities to connect with other business people, including a robust array of participating boutiques and vendors. Keynote speaker information will be announced in the coming months.
SBBWA President Janice Gallardo Walters commented, “The conference has been an empowering way to bring together local business people to meet, laugh, and learn. We strive to provide a panel of speakers and breakout presenters who are accessible and encouraging. Year after year, the highlight of the conference is the educational scholarships awarded to fine, deserving young women who have a need in our own community.”

The South Bay Business Women's Conference has a goal of awarding $17,500 in scholarships this year. SBBWA is accepting scholarship applications, which can be found at sbbwa.com/scholarships. Tax-deductible donations toward the scholarship fund are also welcome and can be made at sbbwa.com/scholarships.
