The South Bay Business Women’s Association Presents its
Annual Conference "Women of Impact & Influence” on May 5, 2017
The Board of the South Bay Business Women's Association is excited to announce its fourth-annual South Bay Business Women's Conference. This inspirational event centers on awarding scholarships to deserving South Bay women to pursue degrees in business. It is also an opportunity for education, motivation and networking with new like-minded connections. This year, the Conference will take place on Friday, May 5 at the Torrance Marriott.

Be inspired by Jen Bricker's powerful keynote "Everything is Possible"

Born without legs, Jen’s biological parents left her at the hospital. One would think she would be destined for a life of hardship. However, the hand of destiny brought her an amazing adoptive family, who gave her one simple rule, “Never say the word, Can’t.”
As a child, Jen was obsessed with gymnastics. Her idol was gold-medalist, Dominique Moceanu, who inspired Jen to start competing. Against all odds, Jen went on to compete against able-bodied athletes and became a State Champion in power tumbling. As part of her incredible story, Jen later learned that Dominique was actually her biological sister. Watch an interview with Jen and learn more about her story HERE.
The day includes dynamic keynote speakers, informative breakout sessions, an inspirational panel, a lovely lunch, plus plenty of opportunities to connect with other businesswomen. SBBWA President Janice Gallardo Walters notes: “It has been a unique pleasure watching the South Bay Women's Conference empower local students in increasingly profound levels for each of the three years the Conference has existed. The highlight of our Conference—even more compelling than the inspiring speakers we engage—is the awarding of the scholarships to South Bay women, each of whom brings a range of skills and aspirations that capture our imagination. I invite you to be a part of an event that creates positive impact on an immediate and local level.”
