Make sure your feet are dry, then gently move it along your foot, stopping on those rough spots and calluses, but not too long, they recommend short bursts instead of steady pressure. The LED light really helps see trouble spots on the back of feet. After you're done simply rinse feet with warm water and put on lotion or moisturizing foot cream. My feet felt softer and smoother after one session.
