The Queen Mary Goes Country with ShipKicker May 23

The Queen Mary is pleased to go country with ShipKicker, an all-new country music festival at the Waterfront Event Park on Saturday, May 23. Country music star, Dustin Lynch, will headline the festival and multiple top country artists including Eric Paslay and Jukebox Mafia will also perform during the all-day fest.

ShipKicker’s headliner, Broken Bow Records artist Dustin Lynch occupies a unique place in today’s country music. Thanks to his classic sensibilities, he’s been heralded as the heir to George Strait’s throne. Yet with one listen to his newest hit, “Where It’s At,” it’s obvious the young Tennessee native knows how to combine his traditional influences with an edgy intensity that places him at the vanguard of today’s contemporary country scene. His self-titled debut hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, making him the only new male artist to achieve such a feat that year. Dustin Lynch will be joined by the likes of favorite country artists including Eric Paslay, Jukebox Mafia, River Road, Brian Lynn Jones and the Jay Holister Band.

“The Queen Mary’s Waterfront Event Park has become a live music destination,” commented Steve Sheldon, Queen Mary’s Director of Entertainment Events. “With multiple concerts presented each year, it only made sense to add a country festival to the lineup. We are excited to showcase some of the best artists in country music and welcome their fans to The Queen Mary.”

In addition to 10 hours of the greatest live music the country scene has to offer, ShipKicker will offer concert-goers food vendors, a beer garden, cocktails, yard-games and a wild bucking bull ride. Festival doors open at 1pm and the event welcomes country music fans of all ages.

Tickets to ShipKicker start at $35 online in advance. VIP tickets are available. Tickets to ShipKicker go on-sale at http://www.queenmary.com/shipkicker on Friday, February 6 at 12 p.m.
