Without a funnel, it is a bit hard to get the water filled to the proper level, we had some overflow but other than that, it does make large, round, ice-balls which is super cool not only for cocktails, but since you get 4 at a time, I am going to use in punch bowls for parties! They release easily, the balls didn't break or get stuck in the mold which is cool. I could see me giving this as a gift and getting another one for me...we party allot!
